Late evening of 27 April BME temporarily shut down its Neptun system due to unauthorised access and distribution of unsolicited content.

Unsolicited messages were sent using BME Neptun code and password which were misused and following investigation the necessary actions were taken and the Neptun access of the concerned BME user has been disabled.

The Neptun web interface is available to all users again from 6:00 am on 28 April.

Neptun users are reminded that please

- do not share passwords to access the Neptun system with others,

- never enter Neptun passwords into any web pages other than those on bme.hu even if they are very similar to the real BME site,

- due to the data breach please change your password.
