Rules for entering Hungary

2021. February 15.

From 1 September 2020, all countries of the world are classified unsafe to travel to/from by the Hungarian authorities and as such, foreign citizens can only enter Hungary under special conditions. Students at Hungarian universities can still enter Hungary despite the ban, but certain rules have to be followed. This measure is to protect all residents from the spread of the Coronavirus. Please be mindful of this and do NOT engage in unnecessary international travel (not even within the EU) until further notice.

New measures concerning the validity of Student ID-s

2021. January 4.

Official documents issued by a Hungarian authority valid for the territory of Hungary shall remain valid for 60 days following the end of the period of state of danger.

- For all students with an ACTIVE or Graduated (finished in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 academic years) status,

- and all who have a PASSIVE term for 2020/21/1 and 2020/21/2

the student ID stickers for the 2019/20 1 and 2 terms or for 2020/21/1 and 2 terms will be valid for 60 days after the ending of the state of emergency.

AND please PRINT the temporary student ID document!

Neptun – End of the year financial operations close between 21. December 2020 – 3. January 2021

2020. December 14.

Debit card payments will not operate until 06:00 CET on the 3rd January 2021.

Transferring to the Neptun bank account: the transfers are turned into the Neptun system on every banking day until the 21st December 2020, and will only turn again on the 3rd January 2021.  Consequently, transfers have to be started until 10:00 CET on the 17th December 2020.

Exam registration will start on the 8th of December 2020 at 18:00CET in Neptun at Exams/Exam registration after selecting the term 2020/21/1 and Every subject and clicking the List exams button. After choosing the subject and the proper date of the exam click the + (Options) button at the end of the line and choose Register (Drop).
