ERASMUS+ and other exchange programmes
Application Information
If you want to study at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) please fill out our online application which will be available for the SPRING term of the 2024/2025 academic year between 9 September and 30 November, 2024 and for the AUTUMN term of the 2025/2026 academic year between 1 April and 15 May, 2025.
Please note: applications sent through E-admission system will only be processed! We do not accept applications sent via email!
First, please register to enter the E-admission system then log in and after that click „Enrol me.”
Please fill in the corresponding form if you wish to apply to BME.
Application documents to be uploaded to the online application:
1. Copy of your national ID (acceptable for only EU citizens!) or valid passport.
2. Transcript of academic records (official list of your courses and grades taken in your home institution) from sending institution. Only English version is accepted.
3. Proof of Language Qualification: the requirement is B2 or higher in English according to CEFR if your mother tongue is not English.
Besides the language certificates given in the list below, all state-accredited language exams can be accepted, as long as they clearly state the minimum B2 level in English. Please upload your certificate to your online application.

Please note, that recommendation letters by professors/lecturers/international officers from the home university are NOT accepted and NOT sufficient to prove the required level in English.

5. Copy of BSc degree certificate (if applicable): if you wish to register for MSc level subjects at the Faculties of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Informatics.
If you fill in and finalise the online application by 30 November then you will receive your letter of acceptance after the application deadline (30 November) but not later than on 20 December.
Your letter of acceptance will include your code which shall be used in your online subject registration process.

Learning agreements of students participating in EU's Erasmus+ Program
If your university has already joined the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) program then please use the Erasmus Dashboard (ED) to compose and manage your learning agreement. BME has already joined EWP and is able to manage your learning agreement in ED. Please include the name and email address of your faculty coordinator at BME into contact and responsible persons' data of your learning agreement in ED otherwise your learning agreement will be rejected and returned.
If you are unable to manage your learning agreement in ED then please submit an 027 request in Neptun including your learning agreement as an attachment containing courses/subjects only from the Course Offer and your accepted 018 requests. Please read the details of submitting 027 request in the information letter. Courses/subjects not included in the Course Offer and your accepted 018 requests will be cancelled from your learning agreement!
Please note that learning agreements sent THROUGH EMAIL to anyone at BME will be REJECTED!
Please also note that there is no strict deadline of the submission of your final learning agreement matching your Neptun subject portfolio to BME but without having your fully signed matching final learning agreement either in Erasmus Dashboard or in a 040 Presentation of document request in Neptun your credit certificate (transcript) will not be issued at the end of the term.
